Adi knows almost many things at home,he gives tiffin box ,helmet ,key to his father when he leaves to office,he reminds him like my mom in law used to do..he says him papa hemt, key, moile :)..and the he leaves helmet whole day he shows it and says papa hemet...papa hemt...
and brings the tiffin from kitchen...ofcourse all these things are no to mamma..when i leave to office he makes a big cry :(

and he says almost 20 to 25 words...
fond of rymes...books and KITCHEN item ...
especially cooker...i can make him to do anything if i give him cooker...
and also he loves taking bath...as i read all of your posts..i think all the kids are doing the best work :)
Kudos to all the little stars :)

Hi Priya, Sheetal, Chaitra, Arti, Hetal and Anitha,

Waoo.. all the kids of this group have really grown up. So nice to see everyones updates..:) Looks like all Mammas are really busy running behind their toddlers..:)
Nikku is also doing almost the same things.. says couple of words like hi, bye, baby, Mamma, Papa, baba, aaati (for aunty), nimmi (ninni) aayi, tutu (for duddu) etc... Arti, just like u said, Nikku also says some words out of blue sometimes and then when we ask her to repeat later, she wont say it. Also, she keeps trying to say new words, but the bad part is that she keeps forgetting the old ones, or atleast wont say them when I ask her too.. Have any of you faced similar situation? Another problem which I encounter is that most of the times she doesnt pay attention to what I am trying to say her.. She wont say or do things when I ask her too, but will do it when she wants too. Anitha, soo nice that Laya loves book, she is one intelligent girl..:) Nikku wont sit till the end of the story while I read her a book.. Though she understands most of what is said just like other kids. If I ask her to, she will bring the remote or phone to me, and keep the phone back for charging too. She knows all objects of the house. She imitates all our actions. Sings eieio of Old mcdonald..; hahaha for Johny Johny Yes Papa and does twinkle twinkle dance when I sing that rhyme .. Hetal, which shapes puzzles and mega blocks have you brought for Nirja? I would love to try them. Waoo looks like Nirja is totally independent.. drinks from glass and all. I havent bought a ball for Nikku, will bring one now..:) Arti, Hetal what size ball do Arjun, Nirja play with? Priya, I totally agree with you, this phase is really cute. Dylan must be looking very cute when he shrinks his nose..:) Chaitra, looks like your kiddo is gonna be a singer..:) I havent tried crayons and all as I dont want to create mess, but I think I shud give it a try..
Sheetal, wow Anushka knows all the words in her book.. thats great.. How do you teach her that? I have tried teaching Nikku words from the books, but she doesnt seem to be interested in books. Maybe I am doing something wrong.. dont know.. Though she knows all the actual objects like doll, TV, remote, Piano, book, teddy bear, truck, spoon, plate, cup and so on.. but no interest in books..

Waoo, I already have soo many ideas now, looking forward to trying them out. Thanks everyone.. Also, anyone tried teaching colors to kids, how to do that?

Chalo bye for now,
luv to all the little ones,
Bhairavi.

Wow, Nice topic and so nice to read what the kids are upto. Laya is also on same boat. She sometimes make me wonder if there is anyone else naughtier than her.
LAYA is a BOOK WORM .. I hve to really give her that name. If there is something that interests her its her books. From time she wakes up to till she goes to bed most of time is spent with her books.. She doesnt wanna play with toys much..
The other things which entertain her are thecomputer, she can switch off the laptop, she knows where the power buttons are and jus comes n press it..Planning to get her a toy laptop ASAP.
And then the camera, she isnt allowing me to take snaps, she wants to take snaps, she knows which button to click and she wants the camera ...and she is too demanding..
Next is the TV, power button and dvd player she ejects the dvds.. its becoming so difficult to control her...
and next our fav game is treasure hunt with the remotes, every day i have to hunt for the remotes, last time it took nearly3-4 weeks in finding DVD remote. we atlast found it under the fridge..still i hvae to hunt for her combs, spoons...and what not..
This girl once she used to hold sofa n walk now climbs on it and keeps jumping n playing around...
And talking mostly babbling , she cann say apple, nana for banana, happy, blue, fish, mo for no..mo for snow..and again a mo for nose..she understands a whole lot and can show the pics on book and parts of body and colors all she know is blue..even if color is red, green yellowetc it is blue for her..

MISC :: kisses, shake hands hi fis , gmorning ,gnight, namasthe, dances by moving round n round putting her hand on her head some hand movemenst too) tries to repeat what we talk and also tries to hum songs, rhymes..this is the best phase of life..:)
theres whole lotbut cnat remember most ..and its all simlar to the other Tots. pulling out clothes, vessels all the same...
and end of day its all fun..:)And make u realsie that they are growing..

Love to all kids
ANitha

great topic to talk about !
wow,,all kidoos are doing all sweet things...
its lovely to see them growing..
nirja is drinking her milk with glass on her own ofcourse lil by lil,,sometimes she makes all our carpet drink it as well,,juices etc in straw cups,,talking wise she speaks most of the single words,,and tries to frame sentences,,but just one word in sentence is actually a real words,,rest all is just babblng..,she is learning these days to eat with fork and spoon,,and wearing her own clothes,,she likes to remove them more than wearing them :),,
bye,jai jai, hello, cya, please give, no, yes,all she is able to express and understand.,,she plays ball catching games, peekaboos, dances and tries to copy the steps of dance by watching tv or someone during navratri, learning these days twinkle twinkle dance,,and plays footbal with her dad,,she knows the diff betwn throw and give,,and thats wats new with her these days..,these days she is more into physical like trying to climb furniture,,even getng into drawers..tries to climb windows but poor thing cant make it up :)),,have learned to climb stairs, but while getting down misses steps,,so needs help or will fall off.
listens to me when i tell her to put the vessels in drawers but many times,,her mind wanders in living room,,so my whole kitchen goes in living room...
plays shapes puzzles, mega blocks, other alphabet puzzles, sits and talks with toys, her books,,and rides the bycycle by pushing it :),,she is still learning to pedal !! she likees to slide it..,,i got her fisherprice, rock, roll n ride trike..
makes her toys sleep when she wants to sleep ! and once a while will go into her lil sofa cum bed,,thats and sleeps on her own by making her puppy and winnie the pooh sleep !
the rest of things,,mommy has to still work on her..
so thats all i rem as of now,,

This is a tough one. I can't write what all Arjun do here, I'll rather write some of his latest achievements. He dances (taps his feet) when he hears music. when we say elephant is he says big. points to body parts and sometimes says simple ones too, like eye for eyes, nee for nees etc. When I gave him grapes today evening he said something which sounded like maja aa gaya, also this weekend in the mall I pointed to a small baby and told him Arjun, dekho, kitna cute baby he na, he said baby he na. All these just comes out of his mouth randomly and when we try to make him repeat those, he can't. He is now able to concentrate and creating towers of Mega blocks and doing shape puzzles etc. When we say Arjun lets go in the morning, he would bring his and my shoes and then will say car, what else... this phase is very amazing and very very tiring and yes nowadays he is practicing how to say Arjun and ends up saying Adu,
He is not into arts looks like rather likes footballs when we say throw he will use his hands and when we say kick he will legs to move the ball. Likes music, cars, and kids ofcourse:) and one of his pet toy is an otter (I think I mentioned this before). hates diaper changes and runs away when I say time to change diaper. Very very scared of vacuum. Overall lots of fun.

Hi Bhairavi,
I am writing after a loooong time.
My DD shows her ears, legs, hands, blinks her eyes when we ask her to..
She says uppabo when we sing twinkle, twinkle little star..She even tries to dance whenever she can. She likes itsy bitsy spider & other rhymes. She sings sa re ga ma pa in her own funny way.
I sometimes give her a book & a crayon & she tries to draw..She is more into electronics like switching off the tv when something interesting is going on. Basically, she just wants me to keep her entertained all the time. She likes everything to be on the floor. She pulls out all the clothes from drawers..
I am thinking of buying puzzles. She plays with her toys only for a little while. Ok thats all i can think of at this moment...Bye

Anushka knows [all the words in her book. I mean ask her airplane, boat, clown, doll, sun, moon, star, etc etc, she points them out correctly. She loves to turn round and round. So she keeps doing that. Dances too, by shaking her hands. Shakes her head, can point out a few body parts. otehr than that, pull out everything from the closet and drawers. Am teaching her the twinkle twinkle movements now. She loves to go swimming.

Rest, I need ideas too.

Regds,
Sheetal

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

HI Gayathri,

I used the puzzles, the wooden blocks for alphabets and numbers.... - Sheetal [View Message]
try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
