Kids & Food:Not chewing the food

Dear all!!!
i have a son who is turning one year on the 31st of July ...he does not chew his food and wants his food in the paste form....and if the paste is little bit thick he vomits everything he eats....even a pieceif rice he does not chew....please tell me how i can make him chew his food......i am very upset b'coz of this......

hey prerna you should consult you doctor on this she might help you. This is common because toddlers are not used to chew initially so you can just feed him in liquids right now and then go for a semi liquid and then solid foods.

Start with small dishes like these Kids tend to loose interest in eating very easily . So it is very important to make there food interested and so be creative, You will eb able to feed them the way you want

show him and teach him how to chew. eat in front of him always. if he continue this habit it can be lead to acidity in future.
even i had the habit of not chewing the food and i still chew less so acidity developed in me quickly. so take care

If your toddler is 3 years old and not able to chew than you must consult a good pediatrician to solve this problem.

don't worry... my daughter has turned two and still doesn't like to chew. however, try giving finger foods to your kid. give him small pieces of biscuit, roti, bread butter, cucumber, carrots etc and he'll chew.
