Hi girls,

Sasmeta is having running nose and cough from sterday.She didn't sleep all night.What is the remedy for it?.This is the first time and so i don't know what to do.I gave her bendryl.
please help me out.

U can try Dimetapp medicine, ask ur nurse if that is ok.When Kaustubh had cold,i gave him that and he felt so much better.
Even try to increase her fluid intake,lots of water and juices.And if ur afraid of steam vapouriser,u can do this....turn on hot water in the shower, the rest room usually becomes steamy.So take sasmeta inside for 5 mins and let her inhale the steam or till she is comfortable...
If she has difficulty breathing due to cold, when she sleeps u can elevate her head by keeping a pillow under her head.

One more thing about colds is they wld stay for min of 5 days .....U certainly cant stop cold all of a sudden , but u can surely try to make sasmeta breathe better and make her comfortable...

sumana Radhika replied. Not sure after a year if over the counters will help..i use saline drops in the nose which keeps her nose and throat clear..so phlegm won't collect.
Keep pumping out the phlegm is all i can say..humidifier in the room helps too. Take care
