Hi Manju, its very normal for kids to lose their appetite after a sickness specially which had cold and cough involved. Same case with Arjun, he is still recovering. This is what a nurse told me and works for me is respect his wishes. If he doesn't want to eat any solids offer him more of liquid, like juices (fruits+vegies+dal ka pani), liquid soups, milkshakes, smoothies, milk and water. Also keep offering some pureed food like, fruit puree or diluted kichadee etc. If he refused then offer some shake or juice or milk and try again at subsequent meal time. In couple of days, he might take a bite or two and that would be an indication that his appetite will be back to normal in 3-4 days. And once its back, he'll eat more than usual to recover for the time he didn't eat:)

Hi Manju, I would say, give him curd often especially when he is taking antibiotics.I dont no the exact reason, but still, antibiotics kills some of the good bacterias too, so in order to fight back kids should be given some extra good bacterias inform of yogurt. I use to give lots of yogurt to Trisha when she was in antibiotics. I dont no much, u can brwose google or consult his ped.
rEGARDS.

Dear MAnju,

How is Adi now, has he recovered from fever? What has your dr. advice on his diet? Depend on these you can decide whether you can offer him curd or not.

Kids normally like curd, you can make raita (i don't what we call in english), he will love it. I have given the same to my Adi and he loves it and want everyday.

Don't try sweet as he is just out from fever, normally during fever sweet taste we don't like.

You can make onion paratha with methi or palak, make it crisp and offer him with tomoato chatni. He will like it.

Take care,
Sudha

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
