My Son 27months old, is it right age for him to go to play school mvni replied. dear indu,
it depends on a lot of factors.. personaly, i wouldnt want my kid to go to any school before he is 3 - i.e. even if its a playshcool.
but if the play school is good enough and u dont have many kids around for him to play with, its always a nice idea to send him to school now. i think the decision should also depend on how busy you are, i.e. whether u r working or a stay at home mom.
another factor that is worth considering is the age to be completed to write certain board exams. and also, different schools have different age criteria for admission to their kindergarten. so according to the school yo wish to send him in future, it will b advisable to send the kid to some play school for an year or two.

as you mentioned your kids age as 27 months, i assume he should be born after October ' 05. so you cant put him to KG before june ' 10 in most of the schools. that means, he can go to nursery (or pre-kg) in june ' 09 and to play school in the academic year starting on june ' 08. i am saying this because most of the reputed pre schools collect the whole years fees no matter when u put him to play school during the year. so you can get the most of it if u put him to school for a whole academic year and not part of it. if you think one year of play school is sufficient for your son, it would be best if u put him to a play school this june, and not immediately.
