Due Date Club July 2005:15th update of Advait

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday Advait had his appointment with Dr for 15th month vaccination. He is 85.5cm (just 2inch less in 3ft) and 13.4kg now.

I had shared two concern with Dr., 1st his teeth has stopped after 8no., Dr asked me to relaxed for this. 2nd concern was he putting so much pressure while passing tools, Dr. suggested to give him half spoon sugar syrup (home made) which will help him.

He cried a bit while vaccination but then came back to normal in few mins. Now his next dose is after 3months.

He start following our talk. Some of his habbit is real cute like while going for goodnight sleep, he will give kiss to grand pa/ma and forced them to say \";Khub bare ho jao (Be a big boy fast)\"; and if they will not say intentionally, will raise his hand his own indicating \";bare ho jao\";.

Thats all from my side so far. I am glad Sheetal that your worry has come to an end.

Take care,
Sudha

Hi Sudha, nice to know Adi's update. Time flies- our little babies are now kids. I am now missing those days when Arjun was little.
Sudha, check Adi's diet and make sure he gets enough fiber through fruits, vegetables and grains....as lack of fiber could lead to hard stool and that could be the reason he puts pressure while passing it.
Giving kids sugar is a plain no no here in US, sometimes it confuses me as dr in India thinks too much differently than dr here in US. Anyways jesa des vesa bhesh, hence I follow advice here and avoid giving any extra sugar other than what he gets from fruits and grains.
Take care.

Dear Arti,

I agree with you, small babies become kids and very soon they will be todlers too.

On hard tools, possibility less fibre in food could be one reason as he is still depend mostly on milk.

Take care and give my love to Arjun.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
