Hetal replied. we have discussed this,,check the post by priya with subject milestone or not talking....it was recently, we all talked about it,,,so should b in last couple pages of this board...
it has all the great tips from all the members of this board...
most kids learn to speak in first 2 years of their life.they begin to use tongue, lips, palate and any emerging teeth to make diff sounds and some babbling words..even though people often say that babies dont use their teeth in first 1 year of their life,,one has to understand the importance of teeth in speech / language development !
however,,you cannot expect your baby to pick up all the words from you or neone,,until he is 13-16months of his age. some are able to speak as early as 7-8months and onwards,,because of alot of conversation happening in their surroundings..kids pick up more from environments they are provided then just parents or caregivers...
let me cut it short, you should not be worried until your baby is 18 months old. give her more opportinity to talk to you, take her to public places more often, as far as your baby is saying words like aaa, yoooo, upppy,,dddaaa,,and such single words n is babbling,,if i were you, i will not b worried !
talk to him, read alot of books before him,,speak slwly and show your lip movements to her,,sometimes when you child is willing to talk, which is seen on his face by way of expressioons,,ask her, question her, listen to her,,say yes, and speak some easy words like dha, gggaaaa,,hhhaaa,,huuuuu,,and such words,,for nething you teach your baby,,make sure you are able to establish a good eye contact with a smiling face,,,
hope this helps you, take care,a very good luck to you.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
