Appu had his 9 month shots and well check up yesterday.
his head circumfrence is 17 1/2.is it normal.how about your lil one.doc checked it twice and said that he is in the 25 to 50 percentile ,he was in the 50 percentile earlier at 6 months.doc said that it is okay and we will watch him.that has worried me.so please can u tell me how much your baby's circumfrence is.i feel silly to compare,but it is just to pacify myself.i know that too big a head circumfrence is also not good.

Hi sumitha,

Dont worry about the head circumference as long as Appu is active and doing the things that babies his age do.I had the same prob with my doc when i went for check up a couple fo mths back.She said that it is near 5 percentile.and since we had moved to VA just then i felt so bad.My old doc in MI didnt say that anything was wrong with Kaustubh.
Then i called my old doc and told him the prob,he said Kaustubh is doing fine , his head is smaller than other babies his age, may be due to genetic reasons.He asked me some ques about his activity and he assured me that the baby is doing everything his age babies do.
I am yet to go for his 9th mth chekup so am not sure about the head circum.
So dont worry too much.
