hi shalini and all other may moms,

i am from april board. shalini wanted to know the babys weight for a particular week. i wanted to post her a link where she can find all these but the moderatoration didnt allow me to post any site address even thru other way round.

so hv posted the chart. hope it might be of some use.

Average fetal length and weight chart

From early on in pregnancy, babies grow at different rates, so these numbers are merely averages. Your baby´ s actual length and weight may vary substantially. Don´ t worry too much if an ultrasound indicates that your baby is much smaller or larger. (Your practitioner will let you know if it´ s time to worry about how big your baby is.) By full-term, your baby may end up weighing less than 5 pounds or more than 9.

Note that babies are measured from the crown (or top) of the head to the rump (or bottom) until about 20 weeks. After that, they´ re measured from head to toe. (This is because a baby´ s legs are curled up against his torso during the first half of pregnancy and very hard to measure.)

Gestational age - Length (US) - Weight (US) - Length (cm) - Mass (g)
- (crown to rump) - - (crown to rump) -

Hey Saradha,
Thanks a ton for this info !! I am reaaly surprised that u spent time to gather this info for me ! really touched. thanks a lot once again !!
Well, as per this chart baby seems to be normal .. gud .. touch wood.
my next visit is after 10 days..
I have a gen dbt.. I hear very often that the delivery happens mostly before 15 days iof the due date itself.. what is the probability of a baby completing full 40 weeks? Is ot normal if the delivery happens in 37-38 weeks?

hi dear

good to know that u r feeling happy. may this continue and multiply more. and reg due date the baby is considered to be full term once it completes 37 weeks. so a mom can expect anytime from 37 to 42 weeks.

And as ur baby is of normal weight - u can b happy if u deliver anytime after 37 weeks.

best wishes dear.

cheers
