Hi recently in the past 3-4 weeks the corner of my lips and the chin have smalls rashes (not red) but more like rough skin and was getting balckish.. I applied betnovate, the blackiness is reduced but the rough skin is still there.. I thot it was dead skin and trying scrubbing it but it wudnt go .. is this some hormonal problem/ anaemia or anything else? I just stepped into 34th week now.. any guesses what it could be?

hi shalini

This is me (mom in the us) and am on my way towards having our second baby in May this year.

Thought I would clarify your doubts. The darkening of the skin is a very natural process. Infact this is just about the right time that it starts to happen. that is, sometime after the 7th month. One sees dark patches at different spots on the face and even the body (like the line forming at the center of the abdomen). But don' t worry too much over it. It is TEMPORARY and will go off in a couple of months after your delivery. During my first time, I had got dark patches on my forehead and they disappeared after the delivery... and this time around I see them appearing again!

I am sorry I am not up to explaining why it happens although had read it long back... They are hormonal changes for sure. But if you browse on the net, I am sure you' ll get a scientific explanation. Just wanted to share my experience.

Hi Palak,
Eating both fruits is good for health but you have to be very cautious because banana would put you to gain weight. So better think about that and then there will be no chance of loss of weight.... - Neha [View Message]
