Due Date Club August 2007:My birth story
2007-07-27
Name: Renu

Hi all,

I am back online after a long time. As my husband must have informed you, our son was born on 17th July. Both of us are doing fine as of now.
As I had told u all, I was having slight pains since 13th July. So, I decided to go in for a routine check up on 16th July. Doctor examined me, and said that I had gone into labour. She gave some medicine in order to increase the labour pains. But the pains did not increase radically even after 24 hrs.
So, the doctor decided to go in for a C-Section in order not to cause fetal distress.
And thus our little prince was born on 17th July, at 11:55 a.m.
Wish I could send you ppl his snaps.
Hey, in all this joy, I forgot to mention to you ppl. My baby got jaundice in all this process. This is a little common, and is called physiological jaundice. But since his count was high, he was advised to undergo phototherapy. He was kept in the ICU for 72 hrs. But he has recovered now. His count has reduced, and both of us are back home.

Thats my update as of now.
Take care,
- Renu

Congrats Renu..hope u n baby adjusting to the new routine.
KT, yes anesthesia will be local for c-sec and here in US, doc keeps talking to couple too explaining what he is doing.
Its relatively simple process..just take care after surgery. but u will be back to normal soon.

Hi Sg,
Almonds are good for babies and you can give them so happily but it would be better give them by making it as milk. But in initial you give baby in minimum quantity then later increase the quantity.... - Siri [View Message]
