Hi Ladies,

I m a mom of 8.5 months old. Since birth my baby was given BM + Top feed(packet cow' s milk). I know I shunt have given Cow' s milk but due to ignorance I made that mistake.....thats an old story now. She is on semi-solids now.

I would liek to ask all the mom out there what shall I do to ensure healthy brain developement of baby. Is it possible for such small baby to have almonds?? what else could be given to make her a sharp n intelligent baby. I have heard that babies who are exclusively on mother' s Milk have very good IQ. I am afraid that my baby might not be very intelligent coz she has not taken enough B milk. Pls advice Mamas Urmila replied. Hi Sg,

Almonds are good for health and you can feed it your baby also but you can give in form of milk it would be better because we do not know whether it would get digested or not so you can give in the form of milk.It gives even energy also. Kiran replied. Hello Sg,
Yes almonds are good for babies and you can feed them because they are rich i proteins and you can give them with happily also.I wish you people will be healthy and will not face any problems from health. alex replied. You should not be worried about your baby not having received more breastmilk. Yes, there are studies which point towards a higher IQ for breastfeed babies, but they haven' t figure out yet if the reason is only nutritional or if it also social and emotional. If you are worried, there are plenty of ways to compensate food-wise (in my opinion). Feed your baby with food that' s rich in Omega 3 (salmon for example!), cooked egg yolks, coconut oil (add a little tea spoon to food), ground almond (rich in Phosphorus, Magnesium, etc), blueberries (new studies show that they are great memory boosters and have lots of anti-oxidants), keep supplementing with iron until two years old (but lower the dosage by one year - 10 mg/day).
These are just some ideas and in doubt should be discussed with your doctor.

My baby is also turning to 9 months on 18th of may......i am also worried as you are....actually i am a working woman and my baby has taken BM for only 4 months and after that we are giving him just tonned milk....

you can give almonds to your baby....but they should be wet ones....do put 2 almonds daily in water in night and you can give them to ur baby in morning....they are gud for brain....i m also giving to my baby.....

so now can you please suggest wht kind of food you are giving to ur baby....
