Hi all:

My kid has got admission(LKG)in both NPS, K' gala and DPS East. I am confused on which school to choose. Any feedback appreciated.
How do they fare when compared with each other ?.

The distance to schools are almost the same.

Kaushika satty replied. visit the school, talk to school kids, ask some specific questions and see the logistics with which you are comfortable and decide...
As per me following are the parameters I would go through before picking up school..

Get details on following parameters:
Education: which school provide best education (basic is most..), what' s teacher student ratios, howmuch awareness the school admin is having about bullying of kids..
Established: Since when school is established, backgrounds of commitee and prinicipal, school vision
Reputation: does school have any reputation of producing great wards, had its kids made name/fame in past, how much they can influenced the society in large
Overall development: emphasizing overall development and molding kids into their interest areas, do they have love for music/sports/painting etc
Kids interest: See if your kids is studious or all rounder kind of. And what kind of interest you or upto some extents your kid is having like are you interested he to go to IIT or IIMS etc or there are other horizon too
Parent engagement: how much time you can provide to your kids beside leaving him/her on school.
Board: affiliated by which boards, how good they test the students which create creativity in them.
Faculty: How experienced the faculties are in teaching. And what ratio they have vis-by-vis with students
Infrastructure: How well the school equipped with infrastructure stuff, well sports/library/computers/group discussion/transportation/Stress management/learning center etc etc.
Fund: When you pay the fees etc where the fund is getting utilized, are they paying on students or going to some NGO or going in pocket of some rich founder/politician.
Environment: The benchmark of kids around is important..shouldn' t happen that if other kids come on chauffeur driven cars and your kid go on scooter or school bus...and finally ur kid start demanding the same from you..tough to handle the situation huh..
Misc: Awareness of school staff, their soft skill, their inter personal skill, how importance they give to parent, how transparent they are. And moreover try to talk to their existing student how good/smart/decent they are. Whats faculty attrition rate, if they are not happy they cant teach their student of being happiness. And how crippling they if their student are not in control..are they able to handle or each time calling parents.:)

congrats,when did you get a call. i was waiting for their call but due to fear of not getting a call from them made me take an alternate admission.

regarding your querry:-
it all depends as to what style you need your child to develope. i shall share my thought:

NPS: a very study oriented school.ur pretty sure that your child would be placed well in his future.

DPS: i am not aware of its teaching style.but an overall development is sure.

My vote is for NPS as the other things about life could be very well taught at home. its just that kids grown up by seeing us.
