It is two weeks since my family went bald in Tirumala. By now all concerned (my colleagues, most customers in bank, neighbours, etc.) are used to my bald look. I am fully at ease with my head, now with about 5 mm of dark hair all over. Most say that it looks really cute on me.
As for my daughter Ramya, we decided to shave her head once in two weeks for the next month or two, not every week. I met her HM and told her our decision and the reason and she did not mind. In fact she complimented me also for my bald head.
Today I took Ramya to the barber I mentioned last for the decided head shave. He wetted her head thoroughly and shaved it smooth after stretching the skin sufficiently. The end result has been a very smooth head for Ramya and she is ecstatic to say the least. She is looking forward to Aug 3rd now. Now I am dreading how to make her grow hair next year onwards. Shalini replied. Infact when I was a kid, I got the same treatment. For 6months, my head was shaved once in a month. First it was at Tiruttani and then at local barber shops. My mother got this done to improve my hair thickness. I wept a lot that time, but now I am proud of my long thick hair all thanks to my mom.
