i am checking forum after a week ...thot would miss a lot of messages..where is everyone? assuming even more busy with little ones now being more alert and active.
I really appreciate the moms at home, becoz sat and sun i am thruout with anu and pending house work on weekends..and i can say for sure, its exhausting. COuld be my problem, i hate to leave anu alone, so keep talking and moving around..but she is no less, cannot leave her one sec..always upto some mischief..tilting from her seat, bending down, has dived her nose to the ground trying to reach stuff while sitting, learned to wave her hands if she doesn't want anything, loves todrop things and stand up all the time. everyday come wth new ideas to keep her in one place, till now love the floor and her watching the flowers and trees outside.
No teeth for anu yet, though she drools and bites a lot, have been feeling every month she s teething so now will let u know when i see one. :)
Ritu, No mundan ceremony either, MIL wasn't too strict about it..had 5 haircuts till now..one in sec. month..but like rituals..
How are ur kids doing? everyone keeping u one ur toes too? I Wonder how families with 3-4 kids manage or this bargavi with twins , must be having her hands full.
Assuming all are fine..
Ashra, hope ur baby is doing fine.
Any news from nikki /uma? been a long time..
Take care everyone..fun watching our little ones and hugging them..every minute worth it isn't it even though we do get tired..if i had didn't have any other work and just had to be with her playing and feeding, it would be the best day ever..
Anyway, blabbered a lot..take care.do update.
Manisha, saw nitya picture, she is cutey..looks mischievious too.. :)
Take care

Suni replied. Hi Radhika,
Anu is looking so cute....I just love her expression. All the things she is doing makes her sound like a bundle of energy....enjoy the baby years.
Sahil is pretty much in the same pattern, he wants to explore everything. I love spending time with him, I took three days off work last week and I was alone with him at home and I loved every moment of it. I was not tired at all though. The days were spent playing, eating, drinking milk and diapering.
Typically, he wakes up at 6:15, gets a diaper change and we eat breakfast on the deck....he loves watching the squirrels and birds all around. Breakfast over, I bring him back in, and he goes into his exersaucer, while I clean his morning bottles. We play peekaboo while I do this, since I will hide behind a pillar while washing. After this, he drinks his milk and goes to sleep.
Wakes up, and then will do some reading and playing. He is addicted to his books, and after we read a story to him which he listens to in rapt attention, he will \";read\"; it to me....it is so funny to hear his animated conversation, he sure applies a lot of emotion to his reading. He has a lot of toys which he can play sitting, Fisher Price makes this excellent toy which reads out the alphabet with funky music, and a steering wheel....Sahil took to the wheel right away, just like his daddy...my hubby was driving a car at 14, and he keeps threatening me he will teach Sahil early too!!!!
After his afternoon nap, it is Jumperoo time....Sahil loves jumping, he laughs with such glee it is amazing to see him do that, and for awhile he will concentrate on the jumping activity like he is solving a mathematical theorem.
Evenings, he goes for a stroller ride and by 7, it is bedtime for him....staying at home was pretty addictive for me, but one day back at work and I knew that while being a mother is the most important part of me, there are other parts which make me whole, and working is the other big part.
Thank God for babies!
Hugs to Anu,
Suni
sumana replied. Hi,
Good to hear about Anu.Apart from the problem of Kaustubh not drinking his milk or eating his cereals, he is pretty active. He has started to open the kitchen cabinets. He is also closing the room doors, so a bit frightened there. He has started blabbering a lot.
My main worry with him is his food intake.I tried giving him idlis and rice and dal...doesnt like them , spat everything out.Sometimes I just start crying,I really dont understand what to do.And that too within 2 days of my mil leaving he is doing all these things.
I think I am boring u a lot with these things...
LOve to Anu,
take care,

Manvi replied. Hi ,
Good to know your news.Sorry i've been away busy with my sis in law&nephew who have just arrived from India.Iam just on my toes with Sid&housework entire day! These days I feel my baby is getting to be a cry baby as he is crying very easily when he doesn't get his way&yes he wants to always stand&I think is getting frustrated too fast as he wants to do so much but is unable to like grasp and climb onto the couch etc.he mouths almost everything&I too am running out of ideas as to where I can keep him for a while. The swing is fine while iam in the kitchen but otherwise while in the living room I HAVE to be with him there.Wondering if i shld invest in a jumperoo? How do u confine Anu for short intervals.I feel guilty Iam not reading these days to Sid or listening to music just getting busy but the new memebers in the family r always talking to him so I guess it's ok.Hey by the way moms of boys I want to know if your little one's r saying any words like da-da thatha etc bcos mine is not yet saying anything though he already has his 2 teeth up !
Hey Radhika did Anu get her hair shaven with a razor I heard they don't do a neat job here as in india.
Girls my hub says he will do it at hime I wld like it at a temple but HEARD THEY DON'T CLEAN WELL.Any opinions?
Love to Anu dear&thanks Radhika for the wake up call, take care!!
Nick replied. Good to hear from you,for a while was wondering why no is responding ..Even me I am busy with my baby and if I leave him alone and come to work in the kitchen(as I don't want him to be in the kitchen when I am cooking too dangerous) Ayush will crawl and stand up holding my dress and look up at me..at that moment I don't think any mother can resist picking up the baby in arms.I feel he is getting quite spoilt and always want to have us for company and will always come crawling after me whenever I am trying to get some work done.
What about others ..others babies are also becoming so chipku ..also his first teeth is also on its way ..
sometimes I wonder that when I am at home I can never get any work done if Ayush is awake and worse if he naps he just naps for 25-40 mins max!!!
Ritu replied. scho schweet ..... such a cute baby update . i just loved reading it .i need to ask you one question though where do you take Anu for a haircut ???
thanks

Hi..
U must be busy with 2 kids in the house..but will be a help too to have ur sis in law..think kids do great with other kids around, just need time to get used to them. Anu loves sitting by the patio door and watching the trees, keeps talking to them and sometimes ends up sleeping there. AS long as i come in between and talk to her, kids love to see trees..maybe u can try keeping him there. otherwise, i make her sit outside the kitchen door and keep talking as i cook. she has fun with the spatula...but my life is so disorganized on weekends. cannot imagine how to constrain her when she starts getting up and moving around herself.
No mundan for anu...just haircut to get itshort and out of the way and avoid heat sweat, not the ritual ceremony.
Anu does say da da and screams her lungs out, is it different for boys /girls? since u r a doctor, i am sure u will know ahead what to expect, i keep reading a lot to figure it out.
Anu has the jumperoo in day care...she loves it. so i didn't get it at home..sometimes get scared , they say shouldn't shake a baby so much don't know till what age.
great to hear from u..keep in touch..love to Sid.
bye
Radhika

Hi Ritu..
same salon i get my hair cut...great clips/fantastic sams are salons here...i am sure if u have a super wal mart/ some place they will do it too..
when anu was 2 months old we tried getting praveen's local barber to come over, since its a small place and he was kind enof to..he ended up getting sick so we went to salon at 2 months..was scared of getting her infected, but anu enjoyed having the huge mirrors and till now been steady..hopefully will be during the next one too..
Before u go, try to set up ur appointment and ask if they cut for babies and go during less rush hour day like tues/thurs..u will get first hair cute free..and got sec one free with a hospital coupon they gave during delivery..its fun to see them lost in a world of mirrors..have fun
Take care
Radhika
