LKG in Bangalore - Nurseries and Schools Discussion Forum - Parents of Preschoolers Message Boards

Hi,
My daughter would be 3.7 months as of june 2008. I tried a couple of schools for LKG for the academic year 2008 but none of the schools are ready to take her for LKG. Most of the schools say 4 years should be completed and some of the schools say 3 years 10 month should be completed. She is already going to Euro kids play school. I' m not sure how to tackle this situation.. do we put her in nursery again or are there schools that consider 3.7 for LKG. Has anyone faced this issue before? Please show some pointer and share your ideas. Thanks in Advance,

There' s one school NCFE in Malleshpalya(New Thippasandra) which takes children from 3.7 for LKG but they have completed their admission process. My son didn' t get a call from that school.
You can try the Airforce school in Murugeshpalya/Marathalli area for which the age criteria is that the child should have completed 3yrs as on Sep 2007.

But yes, there are quite a few schools in South of bangalore as mentioned by v in this post, that take children for LKG from 3.5 onwards.

Aruna v replied. there are quite a few schools whoch do take LKG admission for ur kids age...it depends on the area...i live in JP nagar and some of the schools which could take in ur kid are Brigade School,PSBBLLA,Clarence Public School,Sudarshan Vidhya Mandir,Presidency School near bannerghatta Road,BGS NPS Bannerghtatta Road...

my child is completing 3.4 this june.i have joined her in ryan international school in brookfeilds.as u have mentioned many schools prefer only 4yrs.for l.k.g.there is also another school named sapphire(near hotel taj).they haven' t started the admission u may even try that b' coz ryan had closed the admission.if u like u may even call ryan.as per i asked to the ryan parents they told it is good.

Thanks for the info. We tried NCFE in Malleshpalay but didn´ t get a call yet. (I think this school is new one)

Did they take in Airforce school if we don´ t work in Government job? I think age problem will come for my daughter. (My daughter´ s 3 years completed in October :))

I stay in Indiranagar. We tried NPS but they told that 4 yrs should be completed. I think the schools which you mentioned are not in indira nagar area. Please do let me know if you know any schools in indira nagar area.

Thanks for your reply. Did you put her in LKG or Montessori? I think none of the schools will take for LKG for 3.4 years. Also, can you please provide the address or phone of the Sapphire School? I don´ t find any information of the same in the internet.
