Hi !!

How are you all doing? I delivered on april 6th and since my baby was a bit underweight, he was started on formula. My milk has started coming..i am not sure of the quantity though. I am expressing it using the electric pump.The amount is around 1.5 ounce.Is this normal? I breastfeed my baby every 2 hrs and give him formula 3 times a day(30 ml each time).
My concern is:
1) How much quantity of milk does a newborn need?
2) Is my milk quantity sufficient?
3) When I express, my right breast seems to produce less milk than my left one.

According to my gyno, I have some special hormones due to which i can easily lactate and due to that my motherly instincts are extremely high. I was lactating until 1 yr back & I still can induce if i want to breastfeed anyone.

It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth.
