We live in Atlanta, US. My son is 28 months old. We started him on a day care about a month ago. He goes there three days a week from 7:30 to 5:30 pm. He doesn' t cry so much in the morning when we drop him, but as soon as he sees us in the evening, he will run to us crying profusely (even after a month). He is not sleeping well in the afternoon (half hour maximum) and seems to be very tired, hungry and fussy in the evening when we pick him up. The teachers are cooperating but not as much as I would like them to. They complain that when he wakes up after his naptime, he screams which wakes up other children. I am very concrened. I am considering swithcing his daycare but I am not sure that is the right way to go. Am little confused as to whether the daycare is at fault or I should be doing something else so that he can adjust better. His schedule at home is very flexible. There is no fixed time for his nap times. I am trying to fix a schedule for him but that will mean fixed sleeping times at night and waking up on time each morning. My husband hates that because sometimes he comes home late and likes to play with him when it' s actually past bedtime for my son. Any suggestions or advises will be greatly appreciated?
