hi,
this is how i made nirja give a start. at that she was having 4 teeth. and because she was pretty much young, around 8months,dont rem exactly. and wasnt able to understand my language,,it was something new for her to see us daily brushing our teeth. me and my dh would laugh, giggle, sometimes even dance, throw smiles and she saw that we are njoying this activity..she was good in mimicking and njoying watever we used to do.

so one day while i was brushing she was sitting on the counter and i was ready with my fingerbrush with her infant tooth paste(mostly nonflouride are for infants only) and while i was brushing,nd i did her brush first time..and thats how her brushing habit started. now that she understands it, nd wants to do herself,,after my brushing her teeth, i give her a teether, that is just like brush(it came in my 30piece hospital kit set, which i bought during her birth, its more like teether),,i give her that and tell her to do what m doing,,i m doing this so that she learns how to do it.nd njoys doin it.
like others said, try different flavours, now that your baby have more than 4-5teeth, get her a good colour infant tooth brush that is very very soft and for new toddlers..
you know your baby best, so go by watever way you think she will accept. dont expect her to get into this schedule in a 15days or so,,it takes a month..

and when they are teething esp premolars and molars, be very careful,,they get wild in pain and wont let u touch their mouth or brush...tricks like brush dipped in cool next to coldd water,or putting a bit orajel with or without toothpaste b4 brushing will help.one of my friend use to keep her baby toothpaste in fridge,,,kids love cold things,,but personally i feel it would b 2 cold for them.

nirja gave me hard time with her premolars nd m expecting her to go worst during molars.so,that was my experience.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
