supu replied. i just came back from india a month ago by airindia. my son is 11months. i had taken with me regular tylnol, cold cough tylnol, orajel, motrin & gerber packed foods;they made sure that they are sealed.
they didnt allow me tylnol cold and cough, so i kept that in my luggage.but they made sure that all that i had in my cabin were store packed and had their company seal on them.
if your child is teething or is on medication by your dr,it is better you take those medications.my son was having severe eczema so he was on oral medication.they will allow ne medication that is prescribed by your dr in any form.also keep prescription note ready with you.
while i was returning from delhi to US,they cross checked it.when i was going from US to delhi, they didnt bother to check.
i think, what Hetal has mentioned is all in total that we will need in India. vicks babyrub and orajel are very helpful.if they are packed in their store packs, they are allowed.
check with your travel bookie.

hi,
I travelled a week ago via london. What i saw is they don't allow water at all. They made me taste children's tylenol & gerber foods.Just take medicines that is absolutely essential on board. After all, how much medicine would u need for 1 day or 2 max(unless there is flight delay)? U cud keep the rest in the check in luggage.
Hetal replied. 1.pedialyte-liked the small 9oz packs that flavoured one...if allowed, take them,or put them to luggage.
2.a copy of medical record right from birth, ne prescription of vaccination if travelling to maleria or sick zone or remote areas.
3.OTC medcines, like infant tylnol, infant motrin, mylicon, teething tablets or orajel,ne other prescribed medcine, if given by your dr & instructed as needed.ask your dr about ne other medicine that he thinks you might be able to use in emergency before you reach nearest dr..like some other medcines for cold, allergies if ne,high fever or ne common prescribed antibiotic.
4. a pack of alcohol wipes to prevent infection with ne open wound or injuries. a tube of neosporin, 100% petroleum jelly/vaselline,and ne anti rash ointment by your dr & a small handy pack of purell.all these come in tiny winy packs, check in travel section.
also vicks babyrub,a digital small pocket thermometer, smalltravel pack of infant saline drops with a small bulb/suction ----- is all included in my travel bag at my trips.
depending on what all is allowed, take it with you.. rest put in luggage.
Smile replied. Hi there,
I took tylenol, pedialyte and baby vicks. The baby vicks was very helpful when Savir was down with cold and cough.
sheetal replied. Hi Ramya,
You can ask for warm/hot water in the flight. Its better to ask for the warm water instead of giving your water for them to heat it for you. They took like 1/2 hour to heat my bottle. So the next time, I just asked them to give me warm water.
As far as medications, I carried tylenol, mylicon, and i also carried pedialyte which i kept in the bag that i checked in. It helped me a lot when Anushka was down with diarrhea for a few days.

Sheetal

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

HI Gayathri,
I used the puzzles, the wooden blocks for alphabets and numbers.... - Sheetal [View Message]
try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
