i read in the vegetarian secton of this site that almonds are harmful in preg.i mean iam advised to eat almonds.
one post even says that it has cyanide in it if eaten without peeling and soaking.i eat it as such no soaking n peeling)(dont lik smell of soaked almonds).iam scared........

I also take almonds everyday i m due in aug as far as i know we shud not eat almonds without soaking for two reasons first it is too hot and second the summers have begun and it might have a bad impact on your stomach... try and take 5 almonds soaked in the morning with some raisins as almonds is considered good for baby' s brain development and soaked raisins are a good source of iron... good luck jyoti replied. hi reshmi
i am frm sept board and As i know almonds is a very hot substance if consumed widout soaking and peeling.this i came to know from my gyne,so wud advice you to tk atleast 5 almond a day afer soaking it for overnite and early morning oeel those almonds and consume wid a glas of milk,it helps in babys complxion a lot.

As long as i know, yes, alomnd does contain very very small proportion of Cyanide. hence, make sure u don' t exceed 10 of them a day and if u can soak and peel and have then best.
but at the same time, alomd are very nutritious, they are rich in Vitamin E and is very nourishing to ur baby.
if all ur tests and reports are fine, don' t take any tension, just enjoy urself and eat well.
