I have a query i am tracking my mensus i had b4 my son birth a 26 day cycle now i am noticing that my cycle is 30-31-35 days etc..i am worried as how would i track ovulation with this cylcle??? i mean to become pregnant again i would be going through many opk kits????

Dear Priya,
If you are breastfeeding then due to elevated prolactin you may not experience regular periods. Also ovulation can be tricky with high prolactin.

Also a thought comes to mind, why not to take a thyroid test on blood.

let me know your opinion on suggestion, we can work on figuring your ovulation later.

Not this long priya. Hormones are expected to settle in about a few weeks postpartum.
If you experienced period in 2 months and have not been nursing then I would suspect you to have regular cycles by now.
For some reason either prolactin levels are high, which are affecting ovulation in each cycle or sort of thyroid trouble. I am not hoping either of these to be the case. But these are known causes after child birth. It may not be a bad idea to take these tests done. At least the thought would be swayed and you would freed from such concern.

Oh Yes, I know Dylan had allergy to breast milk and cow milk and mainly formula fed boy.

Archie i got my mensus it is 30 days i was not bf as my son had allergy to cows milk i got periods after 2 months of his birth i think my thyroid levels are o.k... i think the hormones need time to regulate after pregnancy and takes a couple of cycles. Correct me if i'm wrong archie

If you have regular cycles, even one or two cycles of BBT combined with OPK will give you a very good indication.
