Hi Archie,

Archie i had a termination in July 2005 as the babies brain and neck were not formed completely.This was in 6th month of pregnancy.Then i went for a scan and report showed no pco.Before marriage i had pco problem however due to strict diet there was no pco after marriage.Then i was on diane 35 for 2 months and i used to get my periods on time 30days till Dec 2005.My gync asked us to try from Dec 2005 then we tried and my periods got delayed and i had to take Regestrone for 5 days and got my periods.Then she put me of clomid 50mg and hcg injection 10000ml and then my periods got delayed and in the us we came to know that the follicle had grown to 30mm and did not rupture.I was given regestrone to get my periods.This time she put me of clomid 25mg and no HCG injection and my LMP was 24/2/06.Till date i have not got my period 40days late.I went for a scan yeterday and found that there are cysts in both ovaries but a follicle was 17mm.She asked me to go for a scan tommorow to see the growth of the follicle.Was curious to know after 40days without period can this follicle get ruptured and are there chances of pregnancy.I got my thyroid test done and i have no thyroid.

without following follicle for rows of ultrasound one can't know if it will rupture. Mainly because you have had no menses for 40 days. It may be that you have anovulatory cycle combined with this new ovulation going on or for some reason the follicle did not grow enough.
you should follow ultrasounds and see what's going on.
