hi all,
i'm married for 2 years & leaving in US. i have been in US for 2 years & last year was my 1st trip to India.as u know there is nothing else in India other than to tolerate the jealousy of ur relatives.as soon as i landed there i could see those jealous eyes staring at me & they were all asking me such weird & personal questions which was so irritating.we had taken lot of chocolates ,dryfruits & perfumes to my relatives,but they were looking down upon it & said they were expecting huge gifts from me.i cant tolerate this non sense anymore.buying expensive gifts to ur parents & siblings are OK,but what right to those bloody relatives have who havent done anything good to us except interfering in our family matters & being really cheap.also they always keep saying that we have to sponser US trip for them.they keep asking me when i'm going to bring them here.my blood just boils to even hear that.we are not minting dollars here.we alone know how much we stuggle here for every dollar.more over what right do they have to ask me to do all that for them.my father's side relatives(his sisters & their husbands) are the ones who do this nonsense. now we are planning our India trip again in Jan.i'm really worried a lot & tensed abt this.again they will ask me the same questions & sponsering & gifts which literally spins my head around.dont know how to tackle them.dont know what to buy for them.plzzzzzzzz help me with this problem.anyone facing the same problem as me? how should i handle them? how should i convey the message that i'm never going tro get them here & they shouldn't expect this from me?plzzzzz reply.any of ur suggestions will be really appreciated.thanks in advance vedika replied. hi,
i went to india last year.i have two toddlers(boys).i didn,t buy any gifts for my relatives.i just bought few gift for close ones.i told them i had no spaces in my bags at all.cause i have to carry so many things for my kids itself.i just gave cash to everybody according to the relations.they were little upset but what else can they do.and regarding sponsering them tell them its not possible after 9/11.ins is very strict now.but whenever its possible we will let u know.i can understant your problem its easier said then done.but i went through it.and it worked for me.i hope it works for u too.have a safe journey. Regarding Gifts : its not a good idea but still u can try that go to Dollar Tree and give some :-(

For ur closed ones anyway u'll get a good gifts.
I suggest u Dont buy perfumes .its very costly rather U can get nice gifts for the same price. ( many clearance this and that is there na ) U can try this :-) like sterling earrings, watches, some small small electronics goods etc
