Hi, i was earlier in July club but my doc has revised my due date and has announced that i am a bit too early for July and i should be expecting my first baby to see the world in August.... I am happy :)
Congratulations to everybody here ... i am much lokking forward to share all the fun. excitement and the sweet sufferings of pregnancy here.
Well few questions i need soem guidance on:
1. I don' t feel like eating anything ... i think of food (meal) and i start getting pukish feeling, however i have not thrown up even once yet (lucky me!) ... what shud i do? as i know how important it is for me to eat proper food.

2. In the nights, when i call off to sleep, i get slight painslike periods in legs nad also in the lower back .... anything to concern about?

3. I have got my first scan done and sugar blood test, do i need any doctor visit for anything till my 12 week scan?

4. What is ideal breakfast? I stay alone with hubby, and also work so soemthing i can prepare in a jiffy.

Awaiting you replies. Till then, TAKE CARE :*

I know, imagining what will i do with my babby once it is out in the world is so thrilling, i just can´ t stop blushing :)
Let me tell u real instance from life, just want to share with u all ...I just love babies and toddlers, when my elder sis got hers, i use to play with him all the time, but he would never hug me the same as he would do it to my sis and never kiss me on his own until i really plead him for jsut a peck, but otherwise he would shower my sis with kisses all on her face ...i use to tell my sis how jealous i was that i spend so much time with him and he doesn´ t love me the way he does to her, my sis told me that time, This is what a mother is! he know´ s he is the most special person for her mother, no matter she dosen´ t have time for him or she scolds him, a child will embrace his mom like no one else, not even father regardless of anything. SHe told me, when u get ur baby u will have him all for urself, u can be assured, no matter where is playing with whom, he will come running to you eyerytime and hug u the way that no other child has ever hugged u before. .... mmmm, i am emotional .... 7 more months ... such a wait for this :(

Hi Dolly..

i' m from the july board but i thought i could also join in here coz my due date is in the last week of july so you never know really..

it is common to feel the way you are feeling about losing the baby.. at times even i get very paranoid.. but the thing is you have got to relax.. the more one thinks about it the more she starts believing it.. and believing in it can be harmful.. so think of other things.. you say you are working.. that' s great.. just focus on your work.. i know it' s easier said than done but i' m have taken a sabbatical from work coz my mother-in-law is unwell so i have to look after her.. staying at home and not working is terrible.. they say, an empty mind is a devil' s workshop.. so i decided that i will create work for myself at home.. even if it means cleaning out cupboards or organising my life better..

also i suggest you buy this CD called \" Garbha Sanskar\" ... it has been launched by Femina for pregnant women.. the CD is a collection of Vedic chants which is extremely positive for both the baby and the mother..

so keep your mind focussed on work and think of God.. pray for your baby' s and your good health..

keep smiling :-)

love,
riya

Hi Riya,

Thanks for the valuable suggestion especially for the CD. I stay in Atlanta, GA. Do you know if I can order this online ? I feel all the symptoms Dolly has described and I am getting paranoid too. Being away from mom, I always dream of her delicacy. All the foods I used to love one day, now I have developed a strong aversion for it...mainly Milk.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

congrats dolly and welcome to the august mommy board!!
firstly, all those things you have mentioned are also happening to me:-( im 6-7 weeks preggo.
i just dont feel like eating n the sight of food is not appealing anymore.
But since we are supposed to eat something i have lotsa fruits or juices.
i too get this weird leg pain at night time which realy worries me. but i think its a part n parcel of being pregnant..
regarding fixing a quick breakfast, i suggest you can have oats with milk n a bowl of fruits or make a sandwich with brown bread, cucumber n tomatoes..
you can also try baked beans on toast.
well, hope i have helped. i wish you all the best. take care:-))

Hi Dolly,

this is my second time and abt not able to eat anything, i am going thru the same. THey say the first trimester tends to get a bit difficult with all the morning and evening sickness and nauseousness. So its better to eat watever u can rather than trying to eat wat you ideally should. This may sound not-to-healthy but its important to get thru this first trimester and then concentrate on eating healthy for the rest of the pregnancy.

I can' t seem to find anything i like to eat nowadays. I just don' t feel like eating anything. And I have bad evening sickness.

Good luck and take it easy.

Regards,
Sheetal

Vidhi, Alolika and Sheetal ... thanks for the guidance and congratulations to you too.
I think oats and cerals is wise. Baked beans ... i love them :)
I am relieved with your replies on the pains ... thank god they are normal ..... Ladies i know this may sound very stupid and pessimistic, but i thot i would share this fear with u ladies.
I have a constant fear that i will lose my baby :( .... i keep checking below several times a day ... coz in recent past many of my frns and family memebers had such cases which is bothering me constantly. When i am sharing this with my frnds they are tellnig me to be optimistic and enjoy but do u think i shud tell this to doc and would she be able to help here?
