Pl advice me .....
My MIL had presented me a beautiful earings during our marriage(2yrs back) in front of everybody. She wanted me to wear it for all the functions. She had also mentioned that time that the earings belonged to my SIl and since she never liked it, had collected money from her mother instead of the earings.
Now, yesterday my MIl has asked me to return the earings to my SIL as it belongs to her or i have to give her money. Recently i have purchased new diamond earings.
I dont understand y all of a sudden my MIL feels like asking the jewels back when she had clearly told me that SIL does not want the old fashioned earings. I am confused by her behavior pl comment .... shuba replied. Well if your mil wants it back then give it back. No need to give a second thought.
She is jealous of you. That you purchased a diamond earings. ana replied. Do you have a marriage pic/witness that can state that they are yours? Jewelry given to bahu in marriage is \" stree dhan\" and legally cannot be taken back.
