hi,
i have been married for 2.5 yrs n in usa currently on h4.
recently when i talked to my fil he asked me when i m coming back to india .i said i dont know.
his reply was \";oh ur remote control is in husband's name hand\";
after 2 days i was talking to my husband n i told him ur father said this thng to me ,i felt bad but i didnt say anythng to him.
my husband started shouting on me not to say anythng against his father.this is such a small thng n i m trying to accuse his father etc..etc..
he just shouted ,went to other room ,started doing his office work.
is this really a small thng?
shudn't it hurt me what his father said to me?
my younger sil is working n always gives them back and never listen to them(though his husband supports him very much may be thats why)
any suggestions pls.

Hi KK,
Next time when u talk with ur in-laws in phone make sure that u talk to them in speaker phone and ur husband is with u ,never talk to them in his absense ok wish u good luck

Dont think that if u r on H4 thats the reason he is not listening to u ... I am on H1 here I am also sailing in the same boat.
All are like that . If v say anything aginst their parents they wont react at alll at the same time they all will talk bad things abt our parents.
If v do lots of things at home they wont even appreciate at the same time if their siblings did someting ordinary they boast and appreceiate a lot lot lot...

Its alll sillyyyyyyyy ... Try to be hhappy with him as ugot nice time here ...

hey i understand your pain.its very annoying if someone says like that to us.but dont bother to tell about this too much to your husband .Some people get to give back soon to IN laws and some require time.It took me 3 yrs. I know i am also on h4.Once you start working your husband will respect you more and then u can make him realize all this.So dont worry too much about in laws and enjoy your independence here.good luck.they are not worth taking so much pain.
