my 3 yr son saw us making out last night. We thought He was sleeing and we did not realise when he got up and turned the light on. He asked us what we were doing? We covered ourself quicky and I told him that I was putting papa to sleep. We were so embarassed. I am not sure if I handled the situation properly. Just wanted to ask you if any one of you have landed in similar situation or if there is a better way to handle, if there is a similar situation in future.

I cant ask anyone else about this. That's why I am asking you all.

Don't let children to sleep in parent's room whether doing sex or not. Make it as a habit to sleep separately.

When children sleep separately parents will get more urge to do sex and can enjoy life very well.

ONLY INDAIN PARENTS ARE LETTING OUR CHILDREN TO SLEEP WITH US WHICH SPOILS ALL SWEETNESS OF OUR SEXUAL LIFE.

Daytime you spend more time to compensate the separation during sleep time.

I fully agree with Shanthi's comments.
Even my wife had a similar experience when she was 12 years old..and she thought her dad is trying to kill her mom !!!

So, this happens to many...Always sleep in seprate rooms and draw your child's attention to something else whenever he asks about this.

That's why it is important to sleep in diffrent bedroom.Anyway, be carefull in future.It is difficult to remove curiosity from childrens mind.Next time when he asks about it, just draw his attention to somethibg else.Hopefully gradually he will forget.
