Bhairavi replied. I think this is a problem many of us have to face.. and I can totally understand how tiring it can be.. But be assured that Laya is eating as much she needs.. She wont stay hungry and not eat. Sometime around 1st year baby's appetite reduces.. it could be that. I think kids dont eat either becoz they dont want to waste their play time, or they are not hungry, or they dont like the taste or else they are teething.. So what I do is whenever she fusses to eat, I switch on hindi songs DVD, she just loves it, and try to feed her while she watches it.. that way she is occupied. Even then if she doesnt eat, then she probably isnt hungry and I wait for her to give me hunger signs, then I feed her. And when she is really hungry.. she eats anything..:)
I hope this helps..

Hetal replied. try singing something funnny to her c if it works :),,and let her play with food for a while,if that satisfies her,.nothin wrong, she will learn to eat herself eventually.
also, if you have started ne other milk than bm or formula, try to increase the time between milk and her solid meals..
when i started nirja with cows milk, for 1 week she took food properly then in morning feeds, she would skip her breakfast ! so i stopped that and sometimes reduced morning feeds to half or lesser,,and then she was eating fine. although, i wont say she completes all her meals to 100% and on time....
and her schedule is changing these esp in past one week, her sleep times have reduced, also her interest in food have reduced dramatically, but she eats just netime of day,,,sometimes her lunch is in late afternoons..
when i asked dr, he was ok with her growth so i m not worried.
so just keep an eye on her weight,,as far as she is not going underweight & feeling active and playful and not tired at netime of day,,she is fine :)
and yes this is phase of maturing to toddler years, and i expect it to just pass on at ease.
love to laya,
Good luck
Sheeja replied. hi Anitha

Priya replied. Maybe laya is teething. Dylan is doing this and biting my shoulders off at the same time. he only wants to drink milk at time. i am still distracting him and feeding. Laya is soo cute love her name . she looks like you, from some of the pics i made out of you. why didnt you post your pics. trust me i have changed in features since having dylan but this is all part of motherhood.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
