Hi Charu,

Don' t worry...its natural for a child to cry when put into a new environment. When my son started playschool this June (he was 2 yrs 8 months then) he was crying for almost 2 weeks. His school also did not allow the parents to be with the child. He never used to play or do any activities during that period....he used to start crying the minute I left him at school. When I spoke to the principal, he told me no to worry. He said that in fact it is a sign of intelligence because an intelligent & observant child will react immediately when put in a new environment and the only way they can react at this small age is to cry!!. He also suggested that we send him to school in the school van along with other children. If the mother comes and drops the child then the child will cry more seeing the mother leave. After that when I started sending him by the school van then he stopped crying and started enjoying school......maybe you can try sending your daughter with other kids. Although I agree that 2 years is a bit too young to start school...2yrs 6 months or so should be Ok. But some children adjust to school very early age.

Toddlers are at a crucial stage of learning, where foundational skills for life are being developed. At Skillmatics, we believe toddlers should be learning cognitive abilities like problem-solving, memory building, and recognition of shapes, colors, and patterns.
