Yoga is found to be very effective in thyroid problems. Besides maintain a hormonal balance, it also relieves stress. Pranayam, Padmasana, Bhujangasana are good asanas for thyroid problems. They are simple and easy to perform but they should be started under the guidance of a qualified yoga practitioner.

I have persistent problem of hair fall. I feel tired and am also gaining weight. I checked with my doctor and he said that I have hypothyroidism. I am on medications since two years but still having problems with my periods. What should I do? I do not want any more medicines.

Hi Meenal, Do not lose heart. All the symptoms that you mentioned are because of hypothyroidism. You can try yoga for thyroid problems. Yoga stimulates the thyroid glands and thus helps in balancing the hormones. You have to be patient and consistent with yoga asanas.
