Hi All,

Advait is without diaper in the night since the time he is 11month, that also happened due to fear of my sister who was visiting us and don't like the idea of baby being pack for whole night.

Anyway trial was worth,as now I have saved those expenses :-) but still sometime he do shu shuon bed but that doesn't bother me much as it is due to my fault of not ableto wake up on time.

For potty, mostly I used to take him to room and hold in the morning so that he can trough with morning exercise infront of me, and he do it quite regularly. During day time if he does, my MIL put him on chair, which I feel is small now and need to be replaced with little big one.

So in short his potty is very regular like 2times in day. For pee, he still do in pant whenever we don't take him onsite to relieve him.

I think we need to strugle little bit in his case as from the dsay one he was never uncomfortable in being potty or in pee so that time also had to see him regularly to keep him dry.

Regards,
Sudha

Thanks a lot Archie, Hetal, Kiran and Manju for your replies. I was contemplating whether is this the right time for potty training, but now I think its worth giving a try. One more ques.. what abt pee.. When can we train for that?

Regards,
Bhairavi.

hi, baby as early as 3-4months can be potty trained.
http(:)//www(.)timl(.)com/ipt/,,i got this from a friend, herr baby is potty trained at 8months, now by the end of 1 year she is out of diaper expenses.
she bought this book and was helpful,c if anyone of you is interested in looking at it.i bought the book, still didnt open it.

nirja is 50% potty trained. i started from 9months when she started expressiing her likes and dislikes about things around...

i deliberately wont change her diaper unless i would not see her feeling uncomfortable with weat or heavily soiled diaper.
she would hold the diaper and come to me to get herself changed.
now it has come to a point that when she is about to poop she will come to me holding the diaper.to make her do that, i used to take her to adult seat directly.the adult seat is covered with a soft cushion pad thats available in any baby store or walmart & is for potty training only...i liked the disposable one and no mess of cleaning it,it wasnt of any standard company, but was great to use. then i couldnt find it later on in the stock.. so i got the washable one this time.
just like kiran mentioned you know the timings of their poops and pees, and when its the time, just take them there. however there will be alot of accidents....so be ready for it as it takes time for them to understand...
when we go out, she does the same thing, so i am happy that she has started expressing it that she needs to visit restroom..
i cannot say she is totally trained, as i am still scared to leave her without diaper.
so thts my experiences.

Hi,
I started potty training Aryan right after his first birthday i.e. the second week of July. He was giving me signs that he was uncomfortable in the diaper after he pooped. He would stand and do it or bend on his knees :)

This is how i started . Initially i made him sit on his potty chair right after his breakfast and hand him some toy . For the first week he would want to get up right after one bowel movement . Now he does not need the toy to play with he completes his poop and then try's to get off of the chair . But i cannot say that he has completely understood that he needs to tell me in order to go and poop. I guess that will take some time . I'm just happy that atleast he poops in the potty seat:)
Hope this helps,
regards,
kiran

Bhairavi,
This is a little bit early for potty training. Wait for another six months and try that time. It usually fails for a long time for some kids while some starts to get on it without much of trouble.
But a year old infant is early and tought for potty training.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
