Hi all,

i just wanted to know when hcg is actually found in a hpt ,after missing the period or before ,coz from last few days iam having some of the pregnancy symptoms like heavy breasts nd their tenderness nd i can also see the veins on them clearly nd headache feeling tired nd cramps in lower abdomin nd bachache.usually 2,3 days before my period i get the cramps in abdomin but this time its started early my period is due on 18th, always i have 28-30 day cycle nd this month i tested opk nd came +ve on my cd12 nd we tried at that time .
i took a hpt today nd it is -ve so my doubt is can it be wrong .
Hoping to hear from you all plz spend some time to answer my question iam waiting for yor reply.

all the symptoms you mentioned are due to progesterone and can be due to pregnancy or just elevated progesterone in luteal phase. You will start to see hCG from the implantation day. Which might be 7-9 days from the day you get positive OPK. each 48 hours hCG will double. Some tests can detect as low as 25 units but by and large most detects 50 units of hCG so which comes around missing the period.

you should wait to miss period before repeating test.

you may or may not be pregnant, 50% chances.
