my baby is just over a month old. for the last couple of days when i feed him on my right breast he starts to cry after 5 mts or so and refuses to drink. when i express my breasts by hand i dont get any milk. does it mean i dont have milk on my right breast? also when i pump during the day/night i dont get more than 10 ml on my right side. but till last week when my son completes nursing i could see some amount of hind milk in his mouth and some leaking. im confused about what has suddnely happ. also even after i have fed him on both breasts for nearly an hr. 30 mts on each side. after 15 mts hes hungry again. could this be bcos my milk supply is diminishing?? pls help TEJMOM replied. eat sufficient food, more than what you normally take, drink milk, take atleast 3 litres of water every day. stop worrying, anxiety definitely reduces milk secretion, pray and develop self confidence to reduce your anxiety. keep your baby in between your breasts, this can help inrelease of the harmone oxytocin which inturn helps in milk ejection. its called kangaroo care, its usually done for preterm babies. mine is a preterm baby too. once i used to place him inside my dress, that v.moment i used to feel the milk secreting, it was a miraculous immediate effect. well wisher replied. hello,i'm a new mom too don't worry this is not an uncommon problem which new mom's face.But i suggest you to consult a lactation consultant or your docter who can help you better.One breast has more milk than the other in 70% of the women,try eating lot of greens,garlic and specially fluids and before feeding drink 1 glass of milk your self people say this stimulates milk production,even eating lot of garlic also does don't worry tht it will harm you,garlic has medicinal values which will heal you from inside.This is my personal experince.hope something out of this will help you all the best.Luv to ur kid.
