Hi, my son is 2yrs and 6 months now. He is very shy in front of new people. He is very quiet doesnt gel with other kids in the family as well. I have decided to put him in a preschool. Will that help him overcome his shyness..? please help

It will most certainly help him! After all, he will get to mingle with kids in his age group. If the problem persists, try pairing your kid with a talkative child and it will work wonders.

yes when he will be in pre school he will force to talk and play wiith kids he cannot sit in the corner as his teacher will not allow him to do so.

Shy Child are an electronic music duo from New York consisting of Pete Cafarella on vocals and synthesizers and Nate Smith on drums.
Shy Child formed in the summer of 2000, when former college friends Pete Cafarella and Nate Smith separately moved to New York. The duo shared a love for progressive rock and electronic music, and started playing music together in an attempt to create a fusion of the genres. Shy child recorded their debut album, Please Consider Our Time, in 2001. Originally sold through local record shops, Grenadine Records signed the band and re-released it proper in 2002, followed by the Humanity EP in 2003.

I think you have taken the right decision. Preschool is the best solution to overcome this problem. And for that matter I think choosing the right preschool is also very important. With my personal experience i would suggest you look for Eurokids International.
