Due Date Club October 2003:introducing bottle

Name: jaya(nov board) Hi all!!
Can u please suggest me how I introduce the bottle to my 3 month old daughter??She refuses to take it even if she is very hungry.Keeps crying very loudly.I don't know how to about it.:(
Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi..

U will need a lot of patience...things that may help is
If u are giving breastmilk in bottle,see that u (mom) is not around..babies can smell and feel presence of mom..give it someone else like husband/mom etc.
Try at a time when she is in good mood.
Try to give it to her regularly...u may fail many times, but try anyway.
try different nipples..babies sometimes may not like some nipples..
if u are breastfeeding and give breast milk in bottle, will take some time for babies to get used to it..
if its formula u are trying first time in a bottle, try to give breastmilk instead..or change brand of formula.
Its all trial and error..it does take time for babies to adjust..earlier u start the better. Need to be patient..
Be consistent..babies like it if they know what to expect..
