could someone please list an average indian menu for a day, in a child aged 4-7 years old. Please could you include snacks and drinks.

I am doing an HNC in childcare which includes a section on cultural diet and nutrition, I have chosen indian cusine as my topic.

hi,
My daughter is 15 months old.Upto one year i fed only breastmilk. After one year i am trying to give her whole milk, but no use. I tried all types of flavours and all types of sipper cups, glasses. She is also underweight and fussy eater. Please give your valuable suggestions.

Breakfast: 2 Idli/dosa/roti
1 Egg
1 glass milk
I always serve witha vegetable either grate and mix in the batter or as a side dish.

Mid morning Snack: 1 Fruit or juice

Lunch: Rice, 2 Servings of vegs with Lentils or chicken/mutton/fish
3-4 oz of yoghrt in rice or with fruit.
WATER
Evening snack: Any savouries and milk

Dinner: Rice/ roti with 2 vegs, 1 fruit and 1 glass of milk.

We get all the 5 food groups and enough calories and nutrients.

Many items can be prepared from one flour but it must be done in balance way then only food will be tastier.

Menu which you have prepared it is good but the thing is try to make it tastier for kids then only they will eat other wise they will reject or refuse to have it also.

Menu plan which you have chosen is good only but you must not keep more oil food which is not so healthy and it would be better you would do try to keep light weight food.

Feeding the children is huge task for parents and they need to be very cautious of their food and food must be hygienic and healthy also.I hope you would prepare accordingly.

Diet chart which you have prepared is good.But did your child will follow the chart which you prepared for baby.Because generally kids would refuse know the food.

Diet which you have described is good to look and it contains rich in proteins and vitamins also and it would be better try to continue it but make the child to take the food and child will be healthier.

So you have chosen the good menu for your kid but you need to follow them and you must even change the food when ever required so then your kid will also take the food so happily also and it would be better.

You had prepared a good diet chart for the kid and it is well planned also can you say did it followed or not an diet would be better if you do some varieties also in the lunch box and it make your child eat more.

So you had followed good diet chart for your kid and it is even good also to follow but you need to keep good food which healthy and gives more energy to your child then only your child will be strong also.

in the morn. milk with some dry fruits, in the lunch 3-4 rotis, salad, green subji or beans with dal n rice with curd or buttermilk, afternoon some fruit and dinner pulav or biryani or rice with dal
