Due Date Club December 2006:hey ppl..

hello ppl..
hi..my name is preethi..am a second timer..have daughter who is two years and two months old..
i've tested positive this time and will have my U/S in fifteen days time..i am due somewhere late in dec..am a second timer on the IP board too..was here on the march 2004 session..this is a good experience and good help..
i was going thru ur posts and this is a generalised reply to some of those queries from my previous experience:)
1. mangoes technically do no harm..avoid papayas, sesame, jackfruits and arvi(sepankizhangu in tamil)...the first three due to their high heat generation and arvi because of gas..keep mangoes in a vessel of water for at least four hours before eating..this cuts down its inherent heat..also avoid gorging on high gas creating foods..potatoes, yam etc..
2. for those who have allergies avoid peanuts and peanut products..
3. the apple query: apples are the best fruit nurient providers..tho' there is no compulsion on eating one everyday..they also tend to fill one's stomach without creating a tendency of heaviness which bananas do..
4. i request all the new moms also to have ur thallasemia test done..
5. the egg query: again, eggs do no harm..don't overeat or eat them raw...make them an alternate day breakfast option.
6. keep ur masala intake minimal.in the future some ppl mite face an acidity problem..this precaution helps out later.
7. Most importantly, please keep ur system open to your instincts and gut feelings..god has built in an unerring system in us that sends out warning bells..listen carefully and consult ur doc at every turn..talk to ur moms and g'moms.. they r the gr8est when it comes to personal advice..

i'll be an on and off person on the board..but i promise to be in touch as much as possible..
more later..
bye girls..take care..have fun..this is a gr8 experience:)
love
preet
