Dear all,

I have been very confused for quite sometime and came to know about this site where people help each other in solving problems..
My problem is this..I got married before 3 yrs and soon after my marriage I left for Tokyo and became a house wife(I was a Software engineer earlier)..We have recently returned India and settling down here once and for all..Now that we are back we are seriously thinking about having a baby since Im already 26..Now the problem is that I want to work..since i have worked for more than 2 years bfr marriage..and coz of the cost of living here,i feel the urge to resume my job..Can u please advise me if it is ok for me to start working in IT field where the work is so demanding,at this point of time, when im trying to conceive..since most of you must have gone through my situation,i request you to offer me guidance..Please help..
Jyoti replied. It is your decision like others said. But if I were in your place, I would get a job that is no so demanding, get settled there first. then try for the baby. Unless you have an urgent need to have a baby now.

Also, when you are job searching, you can always shop for the kind that would work with having a baby. If you have that atleast you'd have that part of the life taken care of. there'll be some income coming in, you won't have to worry about that and can pay attention to bringing up a child.

but both together (i.e. getting a new job and having a baby) unless called for, I wouldn't bring it upon myself. Get one done, then the next. Ritika replied. Hi JP,

Why don't you start a job that you think you will like..then within a couple of months, you'll know whether you are cut out for it or not and if it is what you had in mind...after that start trying for a baby...after all 26 is not that old...

Doing both at the same time - i.e. conceiving and joining a new job will be very difficult as you might have to put in extra hours at first to learn the ropes. If you get pregnant and have morning sickness etc, then it will make life really difficult for you...

it is totally your decision to choose which ever you want.if you want to conceive, you need to be stress free, choose a job which is not very hectic with deadlines, if you want to work.i wouldn't say not to work,b'coz you shouldn't regret after wards for not working.
