Due Date Club August 2007:My update

Hi all,

Just thought I should update you all on my status. I have completed 36 weeks, and 3 days. I had been expereincing slight pain in my back for the past two days. And since yesterday, I had pain in my abdomen also. It was nothing like the contractions we all have read or heard about. But the pain was unbearable. So, we decided not to take a chance, and went to the hospital.
They said that labor pain hasnt yet started. But again, the doctor said that my womb has contracted a little. No dilation has occurred as of now. She gave me the option of inducing artificial pain. But I decided to wait, since its just 36 weeks.
I was kept under observation for half a day. Pain neither increased nor decreased. So, we came back home. Will have to go back, if in case the pain increases.
Thats my update as of now. I really dont know whether I will be delivering my little bundle of joy in the next couple of days. Havent done the least bit of shopping, or packed my hospital kit. But mom is there to help me out.

Pray for me girls. And all the best for you also. And I guess its better that all of you have your hospital kit ready. Better not to panic like me at the last moment.

Take care, and may God be with us all.

Hi,

Thanks for the wishes. I have come to my mother´ s place for delivery. So, I am not in Bangalore, but in Belgaum.
According to my brother who is a doctor, this is not labor pain, but just contractions happening in the womb. According to him, I might take more than a week also. ALl I can do is wait and watch, and endure the pain.

I guess all of us have forgotten basic cosmetic items to pack in our hospital kit - toothpaste, brush, soap, comb etc. Also, you might want to carry along a pair of slippers to walk around in the recovery room.
Anyways, thanks a lot all of you for the wishes. Will keep you all updated.

Hi Sg,
Almonds are good for babies and you can give them so happily but it would be better give them by making it as milk. But in initial you give baby in minimum quantity then later increase the quantity.... - Siri [View Message]
