Hi
I am 26 yrs old mother of two kids I would like to undergo lasik treatment for my eyes anyone who underwent this treatment in India especially in kerala pls can u share the details of it like how much time it took,the cost etc.

It costs around 35,000 Rs. for both the eyes. 15000 per eye and the pre tests for 5000 Rs.

It takes 1 day for the tests and one hour for the treatment (actual duration is 5 min per eye).

Immediately after the treatment, you can go back home and rest for one or two days, applying the eye drops. It is an irritation for the first day, but as the time goes by, it is clear.

I did that treatment for my wife, who got - 4.5 power. Immediately after the process, she was able to read without the glasses. I did this treatment in Chennai (Agarwal Eye Hospital), but I heard that there is one clinic in Coimbatore also doing it.

Its a very safe process and very easy to do. Only thing is you need to take care of the eyes from injury/smoke/strain for three months - as a precaution.

hi Maria

I am also in UAE only. There is only one computerised instrument used, which takes care of all the measurements and the amount of laser to be used. So nothing to worry.

Ur hospital in Trivandrum tried to be more 'catchy' in saying that. Every hospital will be using the same technique.

My wife is very comfortable leading the routine life again (even she is cooking without any problems). Only thing she is required to do is have the eye drops every day and every two hours.

Thanks for ur valuable information.
I have one doubt too have u got any idea what instrument they have used.As when I enquired in one hospital in Trivandrum Kerala the said they r using lastest technology only by computer not like any hospitals.
I am residing in UAE and goin on vaccation fron 6th Oct to 6Th nov to kerala .I am planning to do it that time.

How ur wife is feeling now Is she very comfortable after the treatment?
