Name: Mom Hi all,

I have 612 month baby & i am planning to give him fruit juice. Can i give him at this month & how much should i give him? How much water should i mix with the juice? & can i start him with mixed cereal? Now he is taking oatcereal & rice cereal?

Hetal,

I haven't started any home foods to my baby. As of now i am giving oatmeal & rice cereal ;Gerber veg - beans,peas,squah,sweet potato;Fruits - Applesauce, Pears, Banana.

I tried giving my baby pear juice by spoon. He doesn't seem to like it. He doesn't take sippy cup too.What should i do to make my baby to drink juice?

My baby doen't like barley. so i can have to continue with oatmeal & cereal
Please suggest some home made foods for 6.5 month baby..

Juice

Pear juice cause alot of bowel movemnet due to pear being very fiberous. If he doesnt like jice thats fine actually it's good as juice has alot of sufgar and also water is much better for kids. I think if you want to give juice introduce slowely by adding 1 ounce juice to 3 ounce water.
If he doesnt like barley you can add some food that he likes in it and that should help.

hello, give him juice of the fruits you have introduced only ! mixed cereal after 8-9 months anytime..start with barley cereal , its a single grain cereal so can be started.also, good luck if you can find millet cereal.

you can give juice but gve 50:50 ration juice and water. Dont satrt multigrain cereal until baby is 9 months

As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
