i recently went to get the scan in 14 weeks n was told that aminotic fluid is little less, then my doc. explained that sometime early scan cant detect exact ammount n other anomalities ,he told me to go again afetr 2 weeks to a place specialised in detailed scan....
is anyone went thru the same diagonose or same situation as i m little confused at the moment .

one more thing is anyone is from kolkata here in this board kindly share as i am looking for a gud gynae. also...
please reply fast... till then take care n gud luck to all....

hi sara..

i spoke to my friend and she said it was later on in her pregnancy that the doctor diagnosed less amniotic fluid.. understandbly, she was freaked out too but the doc had told her to take a lot of rest and drink a lot of fluids.. in your case, you still are not certain about how less your fluid is so wait till your next scan and till then just take EXTREME CARE of yourself and drink lots of fluids.. water, juices, etc.. eat healthy and don' t pressure your abdominal muscles while passing stool.. good luck.. keep us updated

yes i too would suggest take in a2nd opinion would u like to know a good usg centre too... and a doc too...
a bit less amniotic fluid is ok ..but whats he quantitiy..did ur doc get a comparative one .like whata the normal amnt and how much u got???
spk with ur doc well and coax him or her to xplain whats up

i can' t even imagine the stress you must be going through wondering if things are ok..

1 of my close friends had the same issue i.e. less amniotic fluid.. but she carried to full term and had a healthy baby boy.. though i don' t know what complications can arise out of lack of fluid.. i do know from her case that she was ok and so was the baby.. u need to speak to your doc and let her know you are worried and want proper answers from her.. take whatever precautions necessary.. in the meanwhile i' ll speak to this friend of mine and find out what her situation was..

well i realy needed that those words of reconcilation ,well i feel veri helpless abt this situation as thr is nthg we can do much but sit n watch if after 2 weeks baby starts recycling his fluid ....
it wud b nice to hear abt ur frnd n her reasons thnks for helping ....
