Hi,
I am planning to go to my native place with my 18 months old son. Can you please help me in deciding what all things should I carry along with me and what precautions should I take during my 24 hrs long journey by train. All handy tips are welcome. Thanks in advance. Mom replied. Hi Pallo -

Here are things I take with me:
1) all medications (make sure you buy at least 3 bottles of everything)
2) tell your doctor where you are going and if your child should have any shots
3) Make sure your child is caught up on all of his/her immunizations
4) Lots of diapers and wipes if he/she is still wearing them. (You can not have enough)
5) Change of clothes (at least 3 sets)
6) Formula, snacks, food, beverage
7) Favorite toys, books
8) Blanket (at least 2)
9) Small pillow (not necessary but good to have)
10) Night suit to sleep in so your child is comfortable
11) Toothbrush and paste if he/she is using one.

I would take food that your child likes to eat, this way he /she will not fuss on the train. Make sure you take some warm clothes and some cool clothes, you don't know what the temp will be like on the journey or when you arrive to your native land. Carry things that will entertain your little one.
