I feel sad for you as u hv already got ur child admitted there and now u dont really hear positive stuff of that place. Actually I hv a 2 yr old and am myself hunting a good playschool but wht i hear from some parents here is not good abt MP. Sorry if I adding to your miseries but maybe after the incident of the child' s finger the school will take corrective action and appoint responsible compassionate staff. As a parent my first requirement of any play school is good caring staff - reason being my lil one has never been out of the house without me This is the first time he will be stepping out so he better be safe - this is the least the schools can do for us. I really hope MP takes a lesson from wht happens and treats these posts seriously - if they happen to read them that is...

My child has been in MP, Noida since last year (when he was 2.6 yrs old). Initially we faced lots of probs coz the branch was new and his teachers got changed freq. Later I had to put him in daycare also in the same school coz of circumstances. Now he has come out to be a very confident child. He is happy with the school and looks forward to going it. He loves his teachers both at day care and class. I can talk to teachers after and b4 class nytime and they do respond very well. Ofcourse they r pretty but take care of their work also seriously and so far am lucky that have not recd any major complications. My child can recite lots of poems..can express himself well in hinglish and know basic mannerisms. Surprisingly yet my child was judged recently average in some rhyme recitation competition coz he chose to speak one additional new poem which he has not rehearsed and he told this on stage also(and he is just 3.8 rt nw). I think it was gutsy 4 him to speak something new in front of all instead of those rote lines but that is again my view. The judgement came from HQ people. So I guess if v don' t take the competitions and judges out there seriously(considering a mother understands her child the best )..the school is still considerable. It needs to be more organised in terms of support staff.MP admn staff is though cumbersome but teachers r good so far. I didn' t do any comaprisons among playschools b4 putting my child in this school. I was new in the area..and my son is the only child i have. As far as business concerns..they are not into any charity work..no of children is almost at par with other schools. And they do have 2 teachers and 1-2 maids 4 every class. my child knows the names of all his teachers and maids very well. Sometimes he also got hurt and I was not informed and to my surprise no one knew when he got hurt. Still the best part was the value of friendship my child was taught as when i asked him how he got hurt. He said me not to worry as who ever gave him blow was his friend only and it does happen sometimes. But the staff needs to be more careful and understanding as Sudha Gupta herself says these are the foundation years of any child' s life. So they should be handled very tactfully. At one point of time i was in all mind to take out my ward from the school but today the things have turned out to be very favorable and as a working mom it is like a home away from home for my child.

I hail from Gurgaon and have heard some awful stories about how they are packing 30-35kids in one class, give discounts to all (do they think they are in the business of selling vegetables or soaps???), hire Business Managers to get 100 admissions in a month and have PYTs posing as teachers with absolutely no compassion for the little ones. I just wonder when will this set of gullible parents wake up to the fact that this is absolutely a commercial institution run by corrupt people who have no values in life themselves (remember the MCD officer hoarding the taxpayer´ s money who is Sudha Guptas husband?)...I shudder to think what they will do next...

I had admitted my daugter in mother' s pride in August this year. Within ten days she has got her finger severed and is admitted in the hospital. The school staff shrugged off their responsibility saying that it was just an accident. If you want the details pleaseread Times of India of August 15th.

The school teachers are insensitive towards childern and its absolute commercialisation under the cover of human touch.

There was an article in the paper 2-3 days back...how a 3 yr kids finger got almost completely cut off by coming inside the hinge of a door at Mothers Pride...and how careless Mothers pride ppl were...in informing the parents and then taking it very casually...later on when the parents reached the hospital...they saw the finger almost hanging....Pretty bad stuff I tell you. Even my daughter had once got very badly hit on the nose and had a bad bruise...but they did not even bother to inform me. When I asked abt it, they said they had no clue how it happnd. That is how much attention they pay to ur children.

Hi,

On the one hand you say you are excited, while on the other hand, you are looking for positive comments about MP...Are you sure you really are convinced about your decision? Coz if you are, you should not be seeking ohers' approval. In case you are not sure, conduct a surprise check on the school, check the student teacher ratio and the kind of activities they do (hope they dont teach them writing and ABC etc.) and above all, how compassionate the teachers are. I have heard they are mostly pretty women with no heart for the kids and that about 30 kids are stuffed in one class, which is really apalling. You know the kind of energy your baby out of you, how can you expect one young lady to handle 15-18 such kids?? Do a reality check of the school yourself and convince yourself first. Which branch of MP have you put your daughter in?

RE:What Toddlers Should Be Learning?
Toddlers are at a crucial stage of learning, where foundational skills for life are being developed. At Skillmatics, we believe toddlers should be learning cognitive abilities like problem-solving, memory building, and recognition of shapes, colors, and patterns. Language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth are equally important during these years.
