Hey guys. Has anyone here either had or thought of having a 3D ultrasound done? It is a relatively new technique (that most HMO's dont pay for)but can be done at a private imaging center and it shows the baby as is and not like how the baby looks in our regular hospital ultrasounds.

I think, this techinique is available in India as well but I am not too sure.

This is brilliant and now I want to get it done too. Haven't heard of it here ever....can anyone tell me if they know of it being available in UK and if yes, where and what price etc.? Thanks so much

I have also done a 3D ultrasound in mumbai,india in my 18th week and I spent 3000 bucks.But it was worth it.It will be good if u go for 3 D in your later ultrasounds because the baby will have baby fat afterwards and will more cute afterwards:)

Actually i'm due on sept 3rd but i just like to be active on all the boards which r active coz i love making new friends.

I've done the 3D Ultrasound twice first in my 4th month & then in 6th month & i had the CD of my baby moving legs & arms in my tummy. It's so exciting to see ur baby that the feeling could not be expressed. If i had the other ultrasound in 8th or 9th month i will take the CD again. I don't know 'bout india but charges in canada for having that Cd is 20$. FOr such a small price if u can see ur baby it's worth paying it again & again..Right !!!!

Hey Kushi, Thanx for replying back and its very nice/appreciative of you to want to be active and share your experiences with all of us.

I'm from California and my hospital doesn't offer us this service and my insurance doesn't pay for it if I have it done by a private party. And I heard that the prices here range from 300 to 500 bucks for this technique.

20 bucks in Canada???? wow.......thats cool.

I am glad that you had it done twice already. I might have it done sometime in the next couple of months, when my baby is bigger perhaps. That way the picture will be clearer.
