i wanted to know weather i can start walking now,and if i can then for how many mins should i walk.
i also wanted to tell you that my iron count is low of 10.1 ,is this normal but i am taking iron tablets from last month onwards .
but still some times when i stand and work for more than 1 hour ,i start feeling dizzness and feel like i will fall down anytime.

Dear Sam and Archie,

I am also 17 weeks pregnant, this is my first pregnancy. My haemoglobin is also low. It was 11.2 before 3 months an dnow it is 10.9. Does it drop during pregnancy? Even i have been on iron capsules for more than 3 months now. My doc suggested to do a thalassemia test which will let us know if this problem of low iron is hereditary.

Will let you know when i get the results.

Take care

Dear Sam,
All looks normal to me.
You could walk about 30-45 minutes a day.
low HB need to be serious with iron suppliment and have blood checked in about 4-6 weeks to confirm the hb is on normal range. Still not a concern today.

feeling dizzy is due to low bp sometime and normal at this time, eat well. keep small snacks with your hands.

You may get swellings as your hb is low don't get alarmed if that happens.

You have time to feel movements, as late as 24-26th week.

keep updates.

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
