hi 2 all, my baby is a month old and i still experience difficulties in getting him 2 latch on, he either rejects or cries uncontrollably if i forcibly put him on 2 my breast, i read on the net that if the milk flow is slow the baby grows disinterested, can anyone tell me how to remedy this please, my milk stil drips adn does not spurt out in a stream, but i suffer from engorgement. tejmom replied. just touch your baby's cheeks with the nipple. he will automatically turn towards the breast. position him correctly. dont try to turn his face towards the breast using your hands. he will only turn the other side. try this and let me know the improvement Sushaa replied. Its imperative that you teach ur lil boy to latch on. If u suffer from engorgement it is because ur baby is not drinking but u r producing more than enough..Please ensure that u treat the engorgement with care. I was suffering from it and it turned to Mastitis with abcess..which is very painful...SO make sure u sort out the engorgement..Seek help..Ive only just been opearated for the mastitis....its not easy...GOOD LUCK and keep trying....
