Hi friends,

I am recently married only 100 days over. Last month while taking USG Pelvis Scan for hair loss, the doctors found that i have PCOS. Until now, I have regular periods ranges from 28 to 30 days.I am some what overweight for my height (5' 3 - 66 kgs).

I have visited Gyno, she told that i have to take hormone tablets. I fear to take that .. whether it is safe? Is there any alternative possible??

Metformin is advisable for PCOS women if their Insulin levels are raised. Weight loss also helps to a great extent in setting your hormones right. Since you have been married for hardly 3 months, you can wait and watch before starting aggressive therapy for conceiving.
