Hi all,
I have been taking treatment for PCOS for the last one year. However, there is no good news yet. Last month, I had a late ovulation, but I am not conceived yet. My doctor asked me to take medicine for month. She suggested me to go for a laproscopy to break the cysts, if other medication is not helpful. I would like to know a few details about the procedure. Is it a painful surgery? What is its success rate? How costly it is? What might be the cost of this procedure in Chennai? I am looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks in advance.

hi.,if urs is a resistant case which ur doctor will tellu after assesing ur scans/hormones ,put uon weight loss diet and medictions and try for pcod drilling.the success rate increases with allthis and fine tuning of ur hormones.ido not think u should worry but try when ur on the right side of age.could try seeing dr prabhasinghan.bangaloreher workup/treatment in pcosis excellent.

Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling is an adjunt to medical treatment for PCOS when drugs alone have not helped. It is done under anesthesia therefore not painful. Depending on your hormonal levels, pills or injections may be required in addition to help you ovulate. Weight loss also helps.

Hi, Lap surgery may cost around 35,000-40,000. (I had it done in Chennai.)
It wont be very painful as the surgery will be done under anaesthesia. All the best.
